History

Boo Ali Teaching Hospital of Iran was founded in the East of Iran’s capital; the center was built and put into operation outside of Tehran in the 1951st as a center of tubercular. After changing community health priorities, the Laboratory continued to operate in the area of education research. This center advanced research to provide innovative programs in medical sciences, and the production of diagnostic research with special emphasis on infectious diseases. In addition, since 1981, Boo Ali Hospital Lab of Iran offers a broad range of teaching activities in the area of medical science, Microbiology and biotechnology as M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree.

Boo Ali Hospital was purchased from Shahid Beheshti University in 2004 by Azad Medical University with the two goals of improving the quality of education and research programs in the field of medicine, and providing medical services to patients, staff, and esteemed faculty members of the university.

The process of equipping the Laboratory with the purchase of the most advanced devices in a process in line with the advances in medical engineering has continued so far that by attracting experienced doctors and researchers, this Laboratory is known as one of the most equipped educational and research laboratory centers in the capital.

The specialized Laboratory department of the hospital is managed by the pathology unit management.

The university’s efforts to develop and increase the quality of the various Research departments of the hospital are among the goals that will continue unabated.
