The activities pursued at the Center come to three types including research, educational training and clinical diagnosis, under the supervision of Microbiology, parasitology, virology, Immunology, hematology and Metabolism disease divisions.

- Conducting research studies
- Presenting research findings in congresses and seminars
- Preparing protocols and manuals
- Cooperation with decision-making centers and other research bodies in relation to infectious diseases, in the form of research designs
Educational activities include the following:
- Training Ph.D. by research students
- Cooperation in education for fellows in pediatric infectious diseases
- Organizing workshops, seminars, and congresses
- Opening pediatric infectious diseases clinic run by respective professors
- Arranging weekly journal clubs
- Organizing training periods
- Cooperation with the student research committee
Specialist diagnostic services are as follows:
Diagnostic tests related to infectious diseases are performed in the morning clinic by the Center staff and in the afternoon by the specialist clinic
